"The group of people you associate with says a lot about your character... in my opinion, you're on the right track."

SigEp Philanthropy

SigEp: Sweethearts

This year, the Cal-O chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon did something that has never been done in its history. Using inspiration from chapters across the country, we hosted the first annual “SigEp Sweethearts” Philanthropy event to raise money to support the finding of a cure for pediatric aids. This event consisted of questionnaires, dress-up competitions, and a Fallon-esque lip sync battle from “sweethearts” of participating sororities. The inaugural night was full of fun, laughter, and high spirits and we look forward to seeing this event grow in the coming years!

Valentine's Day Cards

Valentine’s Day is a time to let people know that you care for them and are thinking about them. The men at UCLA SigEp want to spread the love so we invite other houses to come over and write cards to the children who are at the local Ronald Reagan hospital. It’s a great time to be with friends, eat heart shaped cookies, and make an impact on children in need.

SigEp Kicks for Kids

SigEp: Kicks for Kids

... was our chapter's traditional annual philanthropy which benefited children afflicted by HIV and AIDS. We raised money for the YouthAIDS organization by hosting a kickball tournament with fellow members of Greek Life. Kicks for Kids was a decade old philanthropic tradition for our fraternity that ended in 2017, for we now look forward to SigEp: Sweethearts.

Balanced Man Scholarship

The Balanced Man Scholarship

The Balanced Man Scholarship (BMS) allows UCLA Sigma Phi Epsilon to recognize people who embody the Fraternity’s values and ideals. The Balanced Man Scholarship originated in 1990 at the Cincinnati Chapter, as a way to honor students of Sound Mind and Sound Body, while rewarding them for espousing the ideals of the Fraternity. Today, over 200 chapters award BMS scholarships.
